Administration Positions

  • Medina City Schools currently has an administrative opening for the following:

     

    POSITION:  Director of Technology

    CONTRACT:  225 days

    COMPENSATION: Negotiable (Commensurate with training and experience) 

    BENEFITS:  Comprehensive package

    QUALIFICATIONS:   Master’s Degree (M.A.) in education related field, preferably technology.

     

    Appropriate State of Ohio certification or licensure. Such alternative to the above qualifications as Superintendent and/or Board of Education may find appropriate. Must have experience and/or training in the following areas:

    • Wide base of technology experience and strong instructional and technology knowledge
    • Understanding of network design and setup

     

    DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

    • Lead, in cooperation with the Director of Instruction, the Director of Student Services, and the Director of Business Affairs and Assistant Superintendent, the development, implementation and ongoing revision of the district’s technology plan
    • Assist in the formation of a philosophy and objectives for the instructional program
    • Assist in the design and delivery of professional development activities related to the integration of technology across the curriculum to improve teaching and learning
    • Provide leadership in the areas of curriculum and instruction as it relates to electronic learning
    • Assist in the selection and use of teaching aids, textbooks, and other material aimed towards improved instruction
    • Manage the learning management system (LMS) or content delivery system and serves as the primary support person for faculty, staff, and students as well as the institutional contact for the district
    • Plan, coordinate, and provide appropriate staff development to successfully achieve the district’s instructional technology plan
    • Coordinate ongoing development and implementation of the Medina City Schools Instructional Technology Plan
    • Facilitate the organization of building level instructional technology committees
