Department of Instruction

The Department of Instruction works to ensure that every student reaches his or her maximum potential. We do this by supporting and empowering teachers through collaboration, leadership, education and preparation. The department provides curriculum and instruction and professional development to staff in the district. The department also provides early entrance and gifted to students and families.

Portrait of a Bee

In Winter of 2021, a committee of over 80 parents, students, and staff came together to decide which skills or competencies were important for our students to master during their time here in the Medina City Schools. This product became our Portrait of a Bee, our "North Star." These competencies will guide our work to help students truly be prepared for their world after they graduate from Medina City Schools.
