Peers should be between the ages of 3-5 years old and should have reliable skills in the areas of communication, behavior, and socialization.
If you or someone you know is interested in enrolling as a peer please click on the link above.
This form should be completed in full and returned to Allison Aukerman at Eliza Northrop Elementary, 950 Reagan Parkway.
This a tuition-based preschool and transportation is the responsibility of the parent.

Helping Hands Preschool is an integrated preschool program. The program provides mandated preschool services to children three to five of age with disabilities and offers a developmentally appropriate preschool experience for a selected number of typical peers.
No more than twelve children are enrolled in the classroom during any one session. Each classroom provides an integrated balance of children with disabilities and their typically developing peers. There are one teacher and one classroom assistant for each of the six classrooms currently in operation. Additional staff support may also be provided based on student needs.
All public schools districts are required to locate, identify, evaluate and provide free and appropriate education to children ages 3 to 5 years of age, who have been determined to have a disability.
The disability would be in one or more of the following areas:
Communication, Hearing, Motor Function, Emotional/Behavioral, Vision, Cognitive or Adaptive Behavior.
Deficiencies in these areas must have a negative impact on normal development and not be due to environmental factors.
