• The Medina Police Department will be offering a FREE college campus safety class to graduating female seniors on Monday, April 15 and Tuesday, April 16 from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM in the Medina High School wrestling facility at 739 Weymouth Road (rear of the Medina City Schools Board of Education Office).

    Campus Awareness Training (CAP), will be presented over two evenings with each session to be 2 1/2 hours in length. Students will participate in hands-on self-defense techniques and gain knowledge of basic safety and prevention tips. Participants will walk away from this training with a broader sense of awareness and increased confidence in personal safety to aid in preparedness for college campus life. Interested students must attend Medina High School and be available to attend both sessions.

    Class size is limited. Please wear comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. For further details, please call 330.636.3220 or students may sign up in the White Administration Office at Medina High School.

    Ohio is making it easier for individuals who are experiencing a stressful situation to find immediate help, 24/7 with the launch of a free, confidential, statewide Crisis Text Line. Starting today, any Ohio resident who needs help coping with a crisis can now text the keyword "4hope" to 741741 to be connected to a crisis counselor.
