    Following the Responsible Restart Ohio guidelines, Medina City Schools'  playgrounds will open effective immediately.  Users are encouraged to have their children wash their hands before and after playing on our playgrounds.  In addition, we ask that the public sanitize before and after the use of the equipment and to practice social distancing.

  • Important Information:  District Outdoor Athletic Facilities


    Beginning Monday, June 1, District outdoor athletic facilities will be reopened for use by the public under specific guidelines that have been set in collaboration with the Medina County Health Department and the Stay Safe Ohio Guidelines.  


    Facilities that will be reopening include Ken Dukes Stadium which encompasses the field and track, Memorial Stadium field and track, Medina High School tennis courts, and A.I. Root Middle School field, track, and tennis courts.  Baseball and softball fields are not open to the public at any time and may only be used with proper permission and scheduling.  At this time, basketball courts will remain closed until further notice.  


    Those using any of these facilities will be asked to practice 6 feet of social distance, remain in groups not larger than ten, and not congregate.  Signage will be posted at each location with the guidelines that should be followed. In addition, at this time, bathrooms will remain closed until further notice.  Our student-athletes will also be returning to the fields on June 1st and we want to remind the public with increased social distancing requirements the public may be removed during scheduled training sessions.

Activities are organized by Primary (Kindergarten-2nd grade), Intermediate (3rd-5th grade), and Middle School (6th- 8th grade) levels to help you and your child locate activities of interest.

  • Online Kindergarten registration for the 2020-2021 school year is currently being accepted for students who will be 5 years of age (or older) on or before August 1 of the year s/he applies for entrance.   • Food Distribution for Medina City Schools' Families In Need


    Food distribution will continue to those Medina City Schools' families in need at Medina High School in the west parking lot by the stadium at the B1 doors throughout the summer months on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 AM-1:00 PM. We are asking parents to drive up to the table and pick up the bags off of the table in an effort to maintain social distancing.

  • School Building Closures Extended Through June 30, 2020

    ALL buildings will remain closed to the public per Governor DeWine's directive through June 30, 2020.  This includes ALL District basketball courts.
