Medina High School Athletic Department Announces New Varsity Girls Volleyball Coach

The Medina High School Athletic Department is pleased to announce the new Varsity girls volleyball coach. Jason Schellenberger will lead the Lady Bees beginning in the 2023 season. He will replace head coach Joe Ortenzi.

Schellenberger has been a teacher in the District since 1999 and a coach in various capacities. Previously, he acted as Varsity Head Volleyball Coach from 2004 to 2013, in addition to serving as the Varsity Assistant Coach for six years, Junior Varsity Coach for two years, and Freshman Volleyball Coach for four years for a total of more than 21 years of volleyball coaching experience within Medina City Schools. “ I am excited to coach this group of players. Looking forward to a great year,” said Schellenberger.

Schellenberger has also coached Nationals Teams at Academy Volleyball Club for eight years. He is married and has four children in the District.
