School Resource Officer David Pinkas has been a police officer since 2006 and has been with Montville Township Police Department since 2008.  He has been the Medina City Schools Elementary School Resource Officer since 2012.  SRO Pinkas is a D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) Officer and teaches the 10-week curriculum to the seven elementary school 5th graders. SRO Pinkas is an A.L.I.C.E. Instructor and was in charge of training elementary students on A.L.I.C.E. procedures.  Officer Pinkas also helps run the M.C.P.A.L. program (Medina Communities Police Activity League) at the participating elementary schools.
