About Helping Hands Preschool at Heritage
-
The Helping Hands Preschool Program provides:
- Mandated preschool services for children that are 3–5 years of age with delays and/or disabilities.
- Developmentally appropriate preschool experiences for a selected number of typical peers that are three to five years of age.
From August to May, we are in session Monday through Thursday. There are no preschool classes on Fridays. We offer two half-day preschool programs each day. Our morning session runs from 8:45 to 11:30 a.m., and our afternoon session runs from 12:30 to 3:15 p.m.
Each classroom provides a balance of children with disabilities and children who are typically developing, with no more than 16 children in a classroom. We have six different classrooms available, and each has one licensed teacher and at least one paraprofessional. Additional staff support may also be provided based on student needs.
We work hard & do our best every day.
