• What is a peer model?

A peer model is a role model student, aged three to five, who demonstrates age-appropriate language, behavior, and social skills, and does not have special needs.  Peers need to be toilet-trained by their first day of preschool.

How does my child become a peer model?

The first step of the process is to complete and return a peer model application.  All peer applications for the 2024-2025 school year will be completed electronically.  You can fill out an application here.  After we receive the application, all applications will be reviewed and a Peer Screening may be scheduled.  Registration will take place until all openings are filled.

In March, you will receive a notification letter about whether your child has been accepted into the Helping Hands Preschool or has been placed on a wait list. Upon receiving the Acceptance letter, you will need to register your student in the Medina City Schools system within 30 days.  Instructions for registration will accompany your notification of acceptance letter.

Helping Hands Preschool is only open to those living in Medina City School District.

      How much is tuition?

Helping Hands Preschool is a tuition-based program for peers.  Cost is approximately $1,380 for the year ($10/school day).  A billing schedule can be arranged for monthly payments.

      Is transportation provided?

Transportation is the responsibility of the parent / guardian for all of our peer models.

When does the application process begin?

We are currently taking applications for the 2024-2025 school year.
