Mrs. Amanda Dodez
Amanda Dodez joined Medina City Schools in 2005 as an intervention specialist in the District’s Helping Hands Preschool program until 2014. In 2009, the preschool moved to Northrop Elementary when the building opened, and Amanda has been in the building ever since.
From 2014 to 2018, she was a second-grade teacher at Northrop. During her time in the classroom, Amanda took on the role of a teacher leader, serving on numerous building and district-level committees. In 2018, she was selected to be Northrop’s Administrative Intern, working directly with principal Kim Hallock. During the 2021-2022 school year, Amanda also served as Supervisor of Helping Hands Preschool.
Amanda earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Education in 2004 from Walsh University. She earned her Master of Science in Educational Administration from the University of Akron in 2008. Amanda holds an Administrative license and licensure for teaching grades Preschool-3rd as both an Early Childhood Educator and an Early Childhood Intervention Specialist. Additionally, she has her Reading Endorsement.
Amanda participated in the Medina County Schools Future Leaders Academy in 2009. She received the Excellence in Teaching Award and the Distinguished Service Award during her time in the District.
