Officer Nick MacLarren

Nick MacLarren has been serving with the Medina City Police Department since 2013. Officer MacLarren began his career as a patrol officer before accepting the position of D.A.R.E. Officer.  While in this position, he split his time between working as a road officer and teaching D.A.R.E. in the elementary schools throughout our district. He also assisted with the PAL program after school at Fenn and Garfield Elementary. In 2020, Officer MacLarren was selected to take the position of Medina High School SRO.

Beginning the 2024 school year Officer MacLarren became a K9 handler at MPD, operating primarily out of Medina High School. He is accompanied on a daily basis by K9 Nessie who has been trained for explosives and firearm detection. They can be found walking the halls of the school or at extracurricular activities enjoying all that the school has to offer."

While off-duty, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children biking, boating and hiking.
