The Ohio Department of Education has announced its renewal of
Medina High School's designation as a Purple Star School
for its unwavering commitment to serving military-connected
students and families. This designation is valid for three years.
A Message From the Principal...
Welcome to Medina High School, where we believe that all students are capable of learning, growing, and excelling if they feel safe, supported, and cared for. Challenging the status quo through student-centered, innovative, rigorous, and relevant experiences will reveal compassionate, collaborative, and resilient leaders who will positively impact society.
At MHS, we offer a wide range of courses, including AP and honors classes, to ensure that all students have the opportunity to reach their full potential. In addition to our academic program, we also offer a variety of extracurricular activities and clubs. These activities allow students to explore their interests, develop new skills, and make friends. We believe these extracurricular activities are essential to a well-rounded education.
We are also committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for all students. To assist with this, we provide students with a voice in what their educational experiences look like, sound like, and feel like. We believe that our students should feel empowered to take ownership of their learning in order to prepare them for their unique paths beyond high school.
If you ever have any questions about MHS, what we stand for, what we offer, or how we prepare our students for their personalized journeys to success, please reach out to Elisa Tedona, the building principal.
