To apply for a substitute teaching position within Medina City Schools, first visit the ESC of Medina County website to view the Substitute Teaching Process and complete the online AppliTrack application. You may then contact the ESC by calling 330-723-6393, extension 127 or 140, to schedule an appointment to submit the remaining required paperwork. The ESC of Medina County is located at 275 Center Street, Seville, OH 44273.

After completing the required paperwork at the ESC, candidates will receive notification they have been approved by the County School Board and will then be approved by the Medina City Schools Board of Education. Upon hire, you will receive an email with information regarding Red Rover, the Substitute Management System, along with Medina City Schools forms for completion. The daily teacher substitute rate is $100.00. The school district uses an automated system, Red Rover, to contact substitute teachers by text or email. With the automated system, substitute (guest) teachers are able to "shop" for jobs from any one-touch telephone or computer, at any time of the day, 24 hours a day. This system includes a free phone app and allows guest teachers to control the dates they are available to work.
