Registration / Alternate Care
New to the district? Here's how to register!
Parents of students new to the Medina City Schools must contact the Office of Registration at 330-636-3100 and schedule an appointment to register for attendance. New student registration takes place at the Office of Registration, which is located at 739 Weymouth Rd. Hours are 7:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. and 1:00-2:15 p.m.
Need to change your current information?
All current Medina City School families who have changed or plan to change their residency are asked to contact the Office of Registration for withdrawal and/or change of address procedures.
Need alternate care?
Medina City Schools Transportation Department may provide transportation to/from an alternate location, provided there is room available on the route and the following guidelines are met:
- The alternate location is consistent five days per week for morning and/or afternoon and will remain the same for at least one semester. Example: Student may be transported from one location to school in the a.m. and from school to another location in the p.m.
- The alternate location is along a regularly scheduled route at a regularly scheduled stop. Exceptions may be considered for rural areas.
- The alternate location must be within the same school attendance area for which the student is assigned. For kindergarten students, the alternate location must not only be within the same school of attendance area but also within an area attending the same session (a.m. or p.m.). Examples: 1) The alternate location for a student in grades 1-5 attending Fenn Elementary must also be within the Fenn Elementary attendance area. 2) The alternate location for a Fenn Elementary kindergarten student assigned to the a.m. session must also be within the a.m. session of the Fenn attendance area (and vice versa for a student assigned to the p.m. session).
- Please Note: Alternate care requests are good for the current school year only and must be reapplied for on an annual basis.
